AMMO by Mig Jimenez was founded in Spain in 2014 by Mig Jimenez, Carlos Cuesta and Elizabeth Wiese. Sadly Elizabeth Wiese died in 2019 of brain cancer at the age of 32.

The company quickly grew into a popular brand for modellers in Europe. In 2019, AMMO by Mig Jimenez was even among the top 1000 fastest growing companies in Europe.

In 2024 AMMO by Mig Jimenez introduced a new type of paint: ATOM Acrylic Paints
