Fokker D.VII OAW Jasta 65, Sieben Schwaben - Ready-Made
In 2019, Artitec introduced a new category: airplanes in H0 | 1:87. Artitec started with a series of twelve Fokker aircraft. That is no coincidence. The business premises of Artitec are located on the site of the former Fokker factory in Amsterdam-North.
In 1912, Dutch aviation pioneer Anthony Fokker left for Berlin, where he founded a company at an airport in the vicinity of Berlin. Fokker sold 800 Fokker D.VII aircraft to the Luftstreitkräfte during the First World War.
After the war, Anthony Fokker returned to the Netherlands where he founded a Dutch aircraft factory in Amsterdam-North in the exhibition halls of the First Aviation Exhibition Amsterdam (1919). This coincided with the establishment of the K.L.M. on October 7, 1919. The Fokker factory was destroyed in 1943 during Allied bombings on Amsterdam-North.
