DE HAVILLAND MOSQUITO

DESCRIPTION

De Havilland Mosquito

The 4th book in the Classic series is on one of the fastest aircraft built during World War 2: the De Havilland Mosquito.

This all-rounder, mostly built out of wood, was equipped with a pair of Merlin engines. The combination of powerful engines, light weight and high manoeuvrability proved to be a fantastic recipe for a multi-role aircraft. This book shows the Mosquito and its different versions in close detail.

The bomber and Reconnaissance versions, the fighter-bomber, nightfighter and target tug versions are shown from every side. The differences between the versions and their missions are described and shown, from engines to cockpit. The latter differ quite a lot; even the controle column of the bomber versions and the stick of the later versions!
