The Ford Capri was at the forefront of 1980s motoring, with style, speed and personality, not only in civilian circles either. It was a popular choice for the Police too, which must have pleased those traffic cops of the day!

You’ve seen this Merseyside Police livery on the Ford Capri MkIII in Oxford’s 1:76 scale series but you can never have too much of a good thing and here it is again – an exact replica of its larger counterpart.

Registered JWJ 333V from 1980, the Merseyside Police would have appreciated its 2.8 injection performance to the full. Highly visible in sparkling white with a broad red stripe running along the sides, our car features the proud Merseyside Police crest on the doors. Exterior trim and the interior are all finished in black and our vehicle is topped with the addition of a blue beacon on the roof. No escape for the baddies coming up against this one!
