Bell UH 1D SAR Rescue Helicopter
Designed as a multirole, lightweight transportation helicopter, the German armed forces received their first batch of four Bell UH-1Ds in the spring of 1966. Of altogether 352 Bell UH-1Ds in service with the German armed forces, 345 were manufactured under license at Dornier. 132 of them were delivered to the German Air Force. With over 7,000 units of the Bell UH-1 built, it is by far the most numerous rotary-wing aircraft in aviation history.
Military models come with a metal body and chassis. As is expected of Schuco models, a number of key features have been reproduced exactly with the greatest attention to detail.
