Already the 200th newsletter!
The newsletter has hardly changed in the past 4 years. Time for change?
I realize that the newsletter is not ideal, but I am not sure what exactly a new version could look like. So time for reader feedback!
See further in the newsletter for the dilemmas.
A lot of stock arrived last week. For the full list, click here.
The new stock includes Warpaints Fanatic, HaT military figures, Noch HO scale figures, Vallejo Diorama FX and a new brand for the Mini-Kiwiland Shop: Fujimi.
The Mini-Kiwiland Shop is open from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday on ANZAC Day.
Just a quick response to the previous newsletter. I received the most interesting feedback about the air brushes. Not just about the brands I mentioned.
I'm also going to look further into a few other brands I mentioned.
My thanks to everyone who responded!
Several Heller 1:24 car kits are on sale this week!

I am encountering quite a few limitations when it comes to the weekly newsletter. I created the newsletter myself. It is linked to the website's database.
It is difficult for me to meet the conditions of, for example, Google for sending bulk emails without being put on a blacklist due to spamming.
An explanation about newsletter issues has been mentioned before in newsletter 186.
The number of members for the newsletter is growing rapidly and the newsletter is too long/large. It is not possible for me to send the newsletter in one go. It will crash the web server. Only a part of the subscribers can receive the newsletter in an hour. It takes hours for everyone to receive it. I have to send the newsletter to a part of the subscribers every hour myself. Often after midnight.
An option is to send a shorter newsletter a few times a week.
Or do you think the weekly newsletter is already too often?
I could change it to bi-weekly, but that means leaving out (more) topics.
Or just leave it the way it is?
What do you prefer?
The current newsletter is long, although not everything is mentioned.
Another option is to send the newsletter with only the first frame with the introductory text and the list of links from topics to the website.
I just have the feeling that many readers do not use the 'more information' links to the website and only look at what is in the email.
Does that apply to you?
The newsletter is often a list of products. Is that interesting? Or would you like more descriptions? Reviews?
Or does the newsletter already have too much text, including all those requests for feedback?
What do you miss about the Mini-Kiwiland Shop newsletter that newsletters of other hobby shops have? What other Hobby Shop has a better newsletter and why?
What do you think of the text? Is it more for advanced users/modellers?
What is (regularly) unclear?
Too much brand-oriented?
Too many language errors?
Does the Mini-Kiwiland Shop newsletter end up in your spam folder?
What part of the newsletter interests you the most? What doesn't interest you at all?
Any other suggestion that you would like to mention?
Any feedback is highly appreciated as always. It gives me a lot of insight into what there is a need and/or interest in. You can respond by simply replying to this newsletter.
Many thanks!

AMMO's U-RUST range is a formula designed to create rust effects on your models. It is not regular paint that simulates a rust finish, but an actual oxidation process, and it would be very difficult to get a better result than easily achieved with U-RUST. AMMO has managed to adapt an ordinary chemical reaction to our scale models.

The first Warpaints Fanatic colours are currently in stock. More are expected soon!

It took a while, but the Mini-Kiwiland Shop finally received Diorama FX products in stock.
"The placement of our model in a diorama or vignette gives it a reality, a background and a history, an added dimension and a reason for the humidity, the traces of mud, of the dry sand of the desert or the dark earth of the wooded landscapes of central Europe. The range of Diorama FX offers the modeler everything needed for the reproduction of a terrain, with effects of sandy and dusty roads, or of snow, mud and water, all of which add to the realism of the setting and relate the model to its environment."
